SPRING INTO HEALTH is a 5-week health and wellness online zoom course created for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in collaboration with the HealthMatters Program.
WHERE and WHEN: Erin Shy will meet with learners 1 hour each week to talk about ways to incorporate healthy lifestyle habits into daily living.

WHAT: Classes will cover topics about physical activity, nutrition, sleep, and general health management using the evidenced-based Health Matters: The Exercise and Nutrition Health Education Curriculum for People with Developmental Disabilities.
INSTRUCTOR: Erin Shy is a third year occupational therapy doctoral student.
She graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Movement Science and currently attends Rush University’s Occupational Therapy Program. As part of her doctoral capstone experience, she is expanding health promotion initiatives for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities where people live, learn, work, and play.
