Universal Design – 7 Principles of UD Video Series

This video series explores the 7 Principles of Universal Design and how they can be applied to products, interfaces and spaces. The series will cover each principle individually and offer examples to those wishing to learn more about the UD Principles.

The NIDILRR-funded Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center to Support Aging-in-Place for People with Long-Term Disabilities and the Disability and Rehabilitation Research Project on Universal Design in the Workplace have published a video series on the Seven Principles of Universal Design. The videos cover the foundations and principles of universal design in architecture, technology, products, and programs. Topics include equitable use, flexibility in use, simple and intuitive use, perceptible information, and tolerance for error, among others.
