Leslie is the Grant Manager at ARCA, a private social profit organization supporting hundreds of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in New Mexico. Hoelzel has worked with people with developmental disabilities since 1994 in a variety of roles including direct service, program management, and administration.
In 2005, ARCA introduced the HealthMatters Program for individuals receiving community living, independent living, and day program services as a research partner with the University of Illinois at Chicago team. Hoelzel, a Certified Specialist Instructor for the HealthMatters Train the Trainer Program, drove implementation of statewide TtT trainings at seven NM community-based organizations and tribal entities serving people with I/DD in 2008.
Leslie is a key partner in HealthMatters CAP (ARCA, NorthPointe Resources, Inc. and UIC) to build statewide infrastructure for improving the health of people with I/DD in New Mexico.
