Paul Arntson is the professor of Communication Studies at Northwestern University, the founder and director of Northwestern University’s Undergraduate Leadership Program, and a senior faculty researcher in the Asset Based Community Development Institute at the Institute for Policy Research. Dr. Arntson also works with the Northwestern University Public Interest Program where he has helped to develop a certificate in service learning and the Center for Global Engagement. His research includes investigating how to improve communication between primary care providers and deaf patients, evaluating community living options for adults with disabilities, documenting how community based organizations contribute to the well-being of their neighborhoods, and understanding how pediatric cancer survivors and their parents communicate about their cancer experiences.
