Health and Wellness Capacity Building: "Getting the Memo"

The "Getting the Memo" is a 3-hour training that aims to increase the capacity to promote health and wellness of each individual staff member employed in community-based organization serving people with I/DD, as well as the organization itself. Specifically, "Getting the Memo" aims to create a culture supporting health promotion.

AUDIENCE
Staff in community-based organizations (CBOs)

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:
  • Understand the importance of health and wellness for people with I/DD
  • Incorporate health and wellness initiatives for your clients with I/DD
  • Identify local and CBO-specific activities that promote health for people with I/DD

Workshop space is limited to 20-25 participants.
Development of initial evidence-based training was funded through NorthPointe Resources.
COST
Off-Site Training:
  • $100 per person, training materials included.
  • 20% off to organizations that register 3+ participants.

On-Site Training
: We will travel to your organization and provide training. Please contact us for cost and additional information.

CEUs
Three (3) CEUs provided for Nursing Home Administrators, QSP, Social Workers (LCSW, LSW, LPC, LCPC), Speech Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists. Add extra $10 per person for CEUs.
